Rentals
Stewart Park has three beautiful lakeside pavilions for rent: the Picnic Pavilion, Tea Pavilion, and BBQ Pavilion. In addition, there are two boat storage racks in the park, and two more along the Cayuga Waterfront Trail in Cass Park.
Rental arrangements for the pavilions are made through the Ithaca Youth Bureau. Rental season runs approximately April 15th - October 15. Reservations begin the first weekday of the new year.
Reservations for pavilions are generally accepted beginning the first week day of the new year. The Ithaca Youth Bureau will accept applications via fax (607-273-2817) or email: IYB@cityofithaca.org. More information on pavilion rentals can be found on their website.
Picnic “Large” Pavilion
The large pavilion is in the heart of the historic core of Stewart Park. There are 20 picnic tables inside the pavilion and several around the outside, seating about 6-8 people each. Picnic Pavilion rental also comes with 2 long serving tables. The pavilion fits about 200 people seated and 400 standing. A number of picnic grills surround the pavilion. There are ramps two sides pavilion and bathrooms located right inside. View the floor plan for more information. The adjacent BBQ pit and pavilion must be reserved separately.
Small “Tea” Pavilion
The Tea Pavilion is located on the lake side of the playground area, near the trail and tennis courts. There are 9 picnic tables inside the pavilion and several around the outside of the pavilion which seat about 6-8 people each. There are also a number of picnic grills surrounding the pavilion for your cooking needs. Bathrooms are accessible at the Wharton building.
BBQ Pavilion
The BBQ Pavilion is a long, narrow structure located near the Picnic Pavilion. There are approximately 7-8 picnic tables inside the BBQ pavilion and can accommodate up to 40 people.
If you wish to use the BBQ Pavilion with the Large Pavilion, you must rent them both in order to utilize both the Large Pavilion and the BBQ Pavilion. You can also rent the pavilions separately.
The City of Ithaca provides boat storage racks to help better serve the boaters in our community. There are 4 inlet rack locations in total, with 2 in Stewart Park and 2 in Cass park. The storage licensing season runs April 1st - November 1st.
